Beatrice Eddy, 90, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Middlebourne departed this life Monday
April 14, 2008 in Hope Hospice Center, Cape Coral, FL. She was born February
13, 1918 in
Pine
Grove, WV the daughter of the late William
Jackson and Leviza Morgan Stackpole.
Bea was a home maker and a member of the Middlebourne Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded
in death by her husband Herbert R. Eddy. Four brothers;
Kenneth, Cecil, Frances and Dale Stackpole. A granddaughter Melody Eddy and a great
grandson. Bea is survived by three sons; Steven T. Eddy and his wife
Carol of Cape Coral, FL, William R. Eddy and his wife Margie of Huntington, WV
and Donald P. Eddy and his wife Sarah of Canton, OH. A
daughter Susan Eddy of Cape Coral, FL. Five
grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne 4:00 -
8:00 pm
Friday where services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday with Evangelist Danny
Allen officiating. Interment in Middlebourne Cemetery, Middlebourne.
William Stanley Edwards
William Stanley Edward(s), 77,
of Senecaville, OH, died peacefully in his home Wednesday
April 30, 2008 . He was born September
26, 1930 in
Clarksburg, WV, son of the late Jesse and Sadie
Wise-Edwards (Seckman). Bill was a retired heavy equipment operator,
Ohio Operating Engineers and a former Deputy in Monroe County, OH. He is a U. S. Army Veteran of the
Korean Conflict. He was a protestant. In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by a son Robert S. Edwards and son William Alan Edwards. Two brothers Willard and Roy. Bill is survived by his wife
Janet Real Edwards (OH), a son, Daniel Keller and his wife Mary of Barracksville, WV. Four daughters; Brenda F. Biddix, Murphy, NC, Sarah Lynn Shea-Adams
and her husband Larry of Cambridge, OH., Jody Lee and her husband Charles of
Chattanooga, TN., and Alethea Edwards of FL., a
sister, Nina Graves of Wellesville, OH., a
daughter-in- law Paula Edwards of Kimbolton, OH.,
several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews and neices.
Called "Pappy", he will be endearingly remembered by great grandsons
for teaching them to pan for gold and slipping tiny nuggets in the pan for them
to find. Friends will be received at the
Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne Saturday, 12:00 pm
- 2:00 pm
the time of the service. Interment in Wilbur Cemetery, Wilbur, WV.
Robert H. Efaw
Robert H. Efaw, 86, of Sistersville, W.Va. died Tuesday,
November 25, 2008 at the Sistersville General Hospital.
He was born May 9, 1922 in Sistersville, W.Va., son of the late Fred D. Efaw and Jessie H. Kimble Efaw. Robert was retired from the Sistersville Post
Office; was a World War II Air Force veteran; and a member of the Sistersville First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the
Phoenix Lodge #73 AF&AM of Sistersville, Nemesis Shrine of Parkersburg, VFW
Post 6327, American Legion Post 67 and BPOE #333 of Sistersville. In addition to his parents, Robert was
preceded in death by his wife, Wanda E. Wilcox Efaw,
in 2002; a brother, James F. Efaw; and a sister,
Helen Maxine Farhatt.
He is survived by a daughter, Diane (Randy) Myers of Sistersville, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Drs. Amanda (Gary) Nichols of Sistersville, W.Va. and Nancy (Eric) McKeever of Sistersville, W.Va.; and five great-grandchildren,
Sadie, Mason and Colby Nichols and Silas and Sienna McKeever. Funeral services will be 11:00
a.m. Tuesday,
December 2, 2008 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, W.Va. with the Rev. Bill Dawson
officiating. Concluding services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Friends may
call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
