Charles Randall Ferrell
Ferrell, Charles Randall, 81 of Middlebourne, died Tuesday,
Jan. 13, 1998
in Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville. He was a retired
employee of PPG Industries, Natrium and a member of
Elk Fork Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Winifred
Mercer Ferrell, in 1971; his parents, John Ross and Rosa Carroll Ferrell; and
two brothers. Surviving are his wife, Loma Willey Ferrell; three sons, Lee A.,
Richard J., and Charles R., all of Middlebourne; two daughters, Mrs. John {Roetta} Underwood and Darcey
Ferrell both of Middlebourne; a brother, Norman Ferrell of Middlebourne; a
sister, Sara Jane Scott of Woodbine, Ga; nine
grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Friends received 7-9 p.m. today at Furbee
Funeral Home, Middlebourne, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Firday. Interment in Middlebourne Cemetery.
E.T.Fetty
"MRS. E. T. FETTY DIES - Mrs. Lieu Dena Fetty, 86, widow of E. T. Fetty,
died at 4:50 a.m. Monday morning at the home of her son, E. F. Fetty, after a
long illness with complication of diseases. She was born in Marion County March
30, 1853 and married Mr. Fetty February 27, 1873. They established their home
in Middlebourne, Tyler County. Mr. Fetty died in April, 1922.
Mrs. Fetty had resided with Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Fetty for 2 1/2 years. She was a
member of the Longs Christian Church and funeral services were held in the
church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. She is survived by nine children,
one brother, 23 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. Two children are
dead.
Lawrence N. Fetty -

Lawrence N. Fetty 86 , of Wick, Tyler County died at his residence Friday at
4:25 p.m. following and extended illness. He was born in Tyler County, June 15,
1874. and was a retried farmer and former employee of the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Parkersburg. He was the son of E.T.and Dema Lough
Fetty and was a member of the Union Chapel Church of Christ, Pleasants County. Surviving are three brothers,
Blaine Fetty, Middlebourne, Clarence Fetty, Middlebourne, Charles Fetty, El
Dorado Kan; four sisters Mrs. Isa Moffett, Paden
City. Mrs. Ola Freeland, Sistersville. Mrs. Theresa Kerns, Chase, Kan. Mrs. Bessie Owens Woodlands; One
granddaughter Mrs. Billy Moore of Wick; two grandsons Lawrence Barker of
Parkersburg. Kenneth Barker, Belpre; seven great
grandchildren. His wife Emma Davis and two brothers, one sister and
one daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m.

Monday from the Sawyer Funeral Home, Middlebourne. Evangelist Harold Stanley of
Sistersville will officiate. Burial will be in the Long Cemetery, Tyler County. The body will remain at the
funeral home.
David Forrester
David Keith "Bunyan" Forrester, 56, of Wick ,
departed this life Monday May 19, 2008 at his home. He was born June
7, 1951 in Weirton a son of Naomi Swan Forrester of
Wick and the Late Kenneth Forrester. He was a retired member of Labor Local
1085, Parkersburg and he was a protestant. In addition to his father he was
preceded in death by a brother Larry J. Forrester. In addition to his mother
David is survived by five brothers; Roger D. Forrester and his wife Linda of
Paden City, Gary L. Forrester, of Wick, Stephen D. Forrester, Dean E. Forrester
and his wife Twyla, Gene E. Forrester and his
companion Christina Swan all of Middlebourne. Four sisters; Diana L. Roll and her companion Michael Morgan of New Martinsville, Karen S.
Pratt and her husband Bruce of Shirley, Deborah K. Lucas and her companion
Scotty Curtis of Wick and Cindy G. Lamp and her husband Robert of Wick. Several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm Wednesday where services will be
held Thursday 2:00 pm with Reverend Darrell Cramer officiating. Interment
in Wick Cemetery, Wick
Agnes Freeland
Agnes P. Freeland died peacefully on April 13, 2008 at Clark County Regional Hospital in Winchester, KY. She was born on January
5, 1916 in Smithfield, WV to the late Isaiah and Laura
Albright. She was a graduate of Smithfield High School. She retired from Corning Glass
Works in Paden City, WV. She was a member of the Democratic
State Executive Committee and served the second senatorial district for many
years. She was a member of United Christian Fellowship, Middlebourne, WV. She attended Central Baptist Church while living in Winchester, KY.
Agnes and her late husband, Carl W. Freeland raised 4 daughters and 2
sons. Her memory will be cherished by Katherine (Homer) Wise of Follansbee, WV,
Jean (Bert) McNees of Winchester, KY, Dot (Denver) Haught
of Ripley, WV, Lynn (Sherry) Freeland of Statesville, NC and Sharon (Gary) Williams of Follansbee, WV. She is
also survived by her brother Jack (Betty) Albright of Aliquippa, PA; 14
grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 8 great great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by her son, William Rickey Freeland, her brothers Harold, Robert Lee, Clifton, Devon and Jimmy Albright and her sister Iva Lou Davis.
Family and friends will gather to honor the memory of this special woman
with funeral services at Furbee Funeral Home on
Wednesday, April 16 at 11am in Middlebourne WV followed by burial at Beechwood Cemetery, Alma, WV.
Burl Freeland
Burl Freeland, Sr., 84 of Meadville Community, Friendly, WV
departed this life Monday February 25, 2008 in Marietta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born February
13, 1924 in
Tyler County a son of the late Clarence and Bannie Eberheart Freeland. Burl
was a United States Army Veteran and a retired carpenter. He was a
protestant. In addition to his parents
he was preceded in death by his wife Velma Braun Freeland. An
infant brother and four sisters.
He is survived by three sons; Rex Freeland and wife Janice, Pennsboro,
Burl Freeland, Jr. And wife Debbie, Meadville and Gary Freeland
and wife Brandy, Meadville. A daughter Dianna L. Helmick and husband Steve, Middlebourne. A
sister Dorothy Masters, Follansbee, WV. Several grandchildren and great
grandchildren Friends will be received
at the Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne 2 - 4 and 7
- 9 pm Wednesday where services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday. Eulogy by Steve Helmick. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Long Cemetery, Middlebourne.
