Thomas Lambert
Thomas O.
Lambert, 70, of Sistersville Center, Sistersville formerly of
Middlebourne departed this life Sunday April 13, 2008 in the facility. He was born in
Middlebourne December 4, 1937 a son of the late Edward John and Leota Burgbacher Lambert
Shinn. Tom was a retired employee of PPG
Industries, Natrium, WV. He was an U. S. Airforce Veteran and a member of the Middlebourne Methodist
Curch. Tom is
survived by his wife Sharon Bryant Lambert. A son Richard W.
Lambert and his wife Michelle of Shelby, OH. A brother
Owen Bruce Lambert and his wife Karen of Parkersburg. A sister Faye Ann
Walker and her husband Tommy of NV. Three
grandchildren; Shandi Renee Lambert, Ty William Lambert and Chad Walker Lambert. Friends will be received at the Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm Wednesday. There will be no funeral
service.
Virginia Mae Lemasters
Virginia Mae Lemasters, 100, of New Martinsville,
formerly of Alvy, departed this life Saturday,
March 22, 2008 in the New Martinsville Health Care Center. She was born December
26, 1907 in
Tyler County a daughter of the late John W. And Amanda Ashenhart Haught. Virginia was a member of the Alvy Church of Christ, Alvy, and
a homemaker. In addition to her parents
she was preceded in death by her husband Columbus D. Lemasters
in 1980. Three sons; Howard, Harold and Lewis. A brother Lawrence Haught. A sister Lula Haught. A granddaughter Nancy Weekley. She is survived by four sons; John, Donald,
Dave and Rodney. Four daughters; Helen Thomas, Phylis Wright, Linda Stackpole
and Lenore Smith. A sister Leona Carmier.
Twenty one grandchildren. Several
great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Three nieces.
Friends will be received at the Furbee Funeral
Home, Middlebourne, 6:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday where services will be held 11:00
am Wednesday with Evangelist Michael Foresha
officiating. Interment in Alvy Church of Christ Cemetery, Alvy.
Gertrude S. Linger
Gertrude S. Linger, 95, of Friendly, Tyler County, died Dec. 2, 1997, in
Sistersville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a retired office
manager from Western and Southern Life Insurance Co., Charleston, and was a member of Sistersville Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter
45, Charleston, and American Legion Auxiliary,
Sistersville. Surviving: daughter, Trudy Madden of
Friendly; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Service
will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, with the Rev.
Robert Burdette officiating. Burial will be in Friendly Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where
there will be an Eastern Star service at 7:30.
