Adaline Patrick

Adaline Patrick, 88, died
Tuesday, December 23, 2008.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 at the Wilbur Cemetery. There will no visitation.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, W.Va.


 

Ila Schau Peake

Peake, Ila Schau, 74, of
Fifth Avenue, Sistersville, died Monday in Evans, Ga. She was a retired registered nurse at Sistersville General Hospital and a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Sistersville. She was preceded in death be her husband, Ralph A., in 1992; her parents, Wallace and Daisy Haudenschield Schau; a brother; a sister. Surviving are a son, Allan of Augusta, Ga; a daughter, Kathryn I. Putt of Evans; three grandsons, Chris Putt of Martinez, Ga, Matt Putt of Augusta and Jason Putt of Evans; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including George Hubbard of Cambridge, MD., Ann Dalrymple of Sistersville and Kay Hunter of Vanceboro, NC. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Episcopal Church. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Oncology Department.


 

Donald Edward Pence

DONALD E. PENCE, 62, of Hollywood, Florida and formerly of Columbus, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family following a hard-fought battle with ALS, Thursday morning, March 20, 2008 in the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Regina Campbell, South Vienna. He was born in
Columbus, Ohio on May 6, 1945 the son of the late Richard E. Pence and Florence Irene (Sayre) Jones.  Donald retired from managing a toll plaza on the Florida turnpike this past May. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. In addition to the afore mentioned brother, Donald is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Denny and Barb Pence of Columbus; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and John Zugelder of Springfield ad Dorene and Rob Carse of Middlebourne, West Virginia; special friends, Steve and Tina DeWine of South Vienna; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Burial will be in Myrtle Tree Cemetery, St. Paris. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 1343 Fountain Blvd., Springfield, Ohio 45504.



Charles Porter

Charles Porter, 68, of Middlebourne, died
Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born in Dothen, Alabama, a son of the late William and Ila Taylor Porter. He is a retired employee of the W.Va. Department of Highways. He was a Protestant. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Yost Porter and a son Paul of Middlebourne; three sisters, Hazel, Molly and Daisy all of Ft. Myers, Fla. Services were held on Monday at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne with the Rev. Daniel A. Deem officiating. Interment in Wolf Pen Cemetery, Middlebourne.
